What Are Recommended Digestive
Enzymes
Morning
ladies and gentlemen. Seems like it's going to rain today. But we
must continue talking about our topic today and that is answering
what are the recommended digestive enzymes. But before that can I
share this joke I got from the Internet. The joke is entitled
"Mechanic vs. Surgeon" and it was submitted by "I Got Jokes. "
Here's how it goes....
A
mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley,
when he spotted a world-famous heart surgeon in his shop. The heart
surgeon was waiting for the service manager to come take a look at
his bike. The mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hey Doc can I ask
you a question?"
The
famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic working
on the motorcycle.
The
mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So
Doc, look at this engine. I also can open hearts, take valves out,
fix'em, put in new parts and when I finish this will work just like
a new one. So how come I get a pittance and you get the really big
money, when you and I are doing basically the same work?"
The
surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over, and whispered to the
mechanic..... "Try doing it with the engine running!
Okay, as
we stop laughing let us now proceed with the topic. Digestive
enzymes are responsible in transforming food into energy so that the
body can use them. Digestive enzymes break down complex proteins,
carbohydrates and fats into smaller and simple pieces for usable
form. By doing their function digestive enzymes help us prevent a
lot of stomach problems thus making us healthy. The great thing
about digestive enzymes is that our body naturally produces them.
But the bad news, as we grow older our body loses the ability to
produce enzymes. That is why there is a need to counter such loss,
we can do that by taking in foods that are packed with digestive
enzymes and supplements.
Protease
is the digestive enzymes that handles proteins while Amylase takes
care of the carbohydrates in our food. Good food source for protease
are kidney beans, wheat, soy bean, spinach, romaine lettuce,
pineapple, papaya, mushrooms, kiwi, green plants, ginger root,
guava, figs and broccoli. For Amylase, the good food sources are
kidney beans, wheat, rice, oats, corn, barley, sweet potato, reishi
mushrooms, cabbage, beets, sugar-cane, honey, milk, maple sap, eggs
and bananas.
Then with
digestive enzyme supplements, they offer all the digestive enzymes
that our body needs. Look for the supplements that are 100%
vegetarian, all natural and plant-based so you are assured of its
safety and effectiveness.
Looks
like our time is up, but before we part ways. Let me give you
something to think about. It is a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson. It
says " The first wealth is health. " Bye!
