In study after study, patients find the missing nutrient is more powerful than prescription pain relievers. In a group of 1,004 rheumatoid arthritis patients, nine out of ten got better. Double-blind controlled studies show that injured athletes heal and get back on the field in less than half the time of those on a placebo. Most of the studies were done in Germany, which helps explain why this nutrient is that nations second most popular pain reliever after aspirin. Yet most Americans have never heard of it.

As you can see, the incredible power of this type of nutrient may take your health to a whole new level. Within days or weeks — sometimes the first day — you can see miraculous relief from medical problems that have troubled you for years. One woman reports she now has four extra hours a day — hours she used to spend sleeping or too mind-fogged to do anything.

Although there are enzymes that do not require additional components not be able to perform at its maximum, there are others that do need cofactors to show full activity. Also, there are small organic molecules responsible for transporting chemical groups from one enzyme to another. These are called coenzymes. Examples of these are thiamine, riboflavin, and folic acid and are basically derived from food since the body is unable to produce these molecules.

There are situations in wherein specific enzymes are not adequately produced or taken in by the body causing particular medical conditions. Thus, there are enzyme supplements that are sold in the market to answer to such needs. But aside from supplements, certain enzymes are generally derived from fruits, vegetables, and protein.

Suffice it to say, disorders and irregularities in the human body can be attributed to the enzymes in the body, or the shortage of the necessary enzymes to be exact. You see, each enzyme is assigned with a particular task to perform. It is actually natures way of conserving energy.

There are over 2,700 known enzymes in the human body and many are yet to be discovered. Each of these is assigned with a specific task in order to perform efficiently. And collectively, these enzymes give life to an organism.

Did you know that enzymes are critical in a persons ability to think, see, feel, and breathe? In fact, enzymes are primarily responsible for the health and proper functioning of your immune system, your liver, kidneys, digestive system, bloodstream, pancreas, and spleen as well as the proper utilization of nutrients and production of all the hormones in the human body body.

Enzymes are proteins that assist the progress of all the chemical reactions that occur in the human body and in all other living organisms, for that matter. Enzymes are essential for every single chemical action. All the bones, tissues, muscles, organs, and cells are governed by enzymes.

There are enzymes that are naturally produced by the body. However, there are also enzymes which the body cannot synthesize. Commonly, the enzymes which the body is not able to produce are referred to as non essential enzymes. Examples of such include phenylalanine, threonine, isoleucine, leucine, methionine, and lysine.

Both essential and none essential enzymes are generally needed by the body, they are simply tagged as such to emphasize that the enzymes the body is unable to produce is just as essential as the ones that the body is able to produce. You see, enzymes work hand in hand.

What are Proteolytic Enzymes?

Proteolytic enzymes are enzymes that begin the breakdown of protein through hydrolysis. Hydrolysis is a chemical reaction wherein one or more molecules cleave peptide bonds that link amino acids together in the polypeptide chain.

Take for example Alpha-Amylase. It is a starch digesting non essential enzyme present in the saliva and in he pancreatic juice. It is capable of breaking down complex starch into simple sugars components.

One particular proteolyitic enzyme or protease that is popularly used to treat pain, inflammation, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis is serrapeptase. It is an enzyme derived from the intestine of silkworms. Generally, silkworms use this enzyme to dissolve their cocoon.

And just as it is able to dissolve the protective silk case, the serrapeptase enzyme is also able to break down fibrins. And once it has dissolved the fibrins, it facilitates the drainage which consequently speeds up tissue repair. Thus, it has been used for years as an anti-inflammatory alternative to NSAIDs or Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs.

Serrapeptase can also alleviate the pain that comes with the inflammation by restraining the release of bradykinin. Bradykinin is physiologically and pharmacologically active pain-inducing peptide that causes blood vessels to dilate and therefore causes blood pressure to lower.

Moreover, Serrappetase is capable of breaking down dead or damaged tissues without harming living tissues just as it is able to dissolve atherosclerotic plaques without harming the inside of the arteries.

Cancerous Uterine Fibroids And Systemic Enzymes Used Against Them Part 2

Fibrin (scar tissue), the key building block of tissue repair, is created by the uterine muscle in response to the normal menstrual cycle, pregnancy and challenges like miscarriages. The normal process of dissolving the fibrin can be enhanced by introducing fibrinolytic enzymes.

Enzymes for fibroid reduction.

Serrapeptase is able to digest and liquefy large amounts of scar tissue and also has extremely strong anti-inflammatory properties, which may alleviate pressure induced by menstruation. Bromelain is another highly regarded enzyme which beaks down fibrin, releasing it into the bloodstream for excretion. Bromelain is extracted from pineapple stem and is commonly used as the main ingredient in meat tenderiser. Papain is extracted from the papaya fruit, which is also commercially used in tenderizing meats and other proteins. Papain blocks some inflammatory processes which also benefits sufferers from fibroids. All of these enzymes exert noticeably strong proteolytic (protein digesting) and anti-inflammatory properties.

These soften and liquefy scar tissue, transforming it back into soft circulating fibrin fragments, which are carried away in the bloodstream. Oral administration can enhance the fibrinolytic activity in the blood for long periods.
